Lipstick on a Pig

Politics is a strange business... A well used phrase was used by Senator Barack Obama to describe the McCain campaign's use of Obama's change message and the McCain campaign said he was making a remark against their V.P. candidate, Sarah Palin. Of course, the conservative media swam in like sharks smelling blood. Yes, you heard me correctly, I said the conservative media. The Republicans have been saying for over 30 years that the media is liberally biased, but it was then, and it is now, a lie that has been repeated so much that most people now believe it. But, I digress. Obama fought back this time, which in my opinion was the best thing he could have done. He stated, "What their campaign has done this morning is the same game that has made people sick and tired of politics in this country." "They have seized on an innocent remark, try to take it out of context, throw up an outrageous ad, because they know it's catnip for the news media.

"Enough!" he added, his voice rising. "I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and swift boat politics. Enough is enough."

I totally agree with the Senator. It is my opinion that McCain and the Republicans know they have no answers for the problems created by their president for the past 8 years and they are using this kind of tactic to keep people from thinking or talking about the issues. They feel like if they can distract the American People for the next 55 days then the conservative media will assure them of a win in the election. Barack Obama has to stop them and we have to as well!

I agree. The republicans need to spend more time stating what they have planned for "change" instead of concentrating on the continual onslaught of Obama-Biden.
